Creating a Log File using GDebug

Sometimes, local errors may occur while using pixi that our Descartes pixi Support cannot easily reproduce. The GDebug tool records individual procedures during pixi's execution and can provide our support team with valuable insights into the root cause of the issue.

If you are asked to send us a log file, the following guide will help you with the process.

Warning:
GDebug processes a large number of background operations. As a result, running GDebug continuously can lead to performance issues.

Therefore, do not keep GDebug enabled for an entire workday, but only for specific test periods! If needed, coordinate with our Descartes pixi Support.

Using GDebug

  1. Open the file path C:\pixi.

  2. Run the file GDebug.exe.

  3. While you continue working, the program will run in the background and record the procedures.

  4. Once the error occurs again, double-click the program icon in the taskbar to open GDebug.

  5. Click the Disc icon to save the log file.

  6. Send us this log file as an attachment to an e-mail.
