pixi Web: Stock

The Stock page offers functionalities with which you can manage the items in your stock.

To access this page, you also need authorization for the pixi Web: Stock page. If you do not have this authorization, the Stock page will not be displayed.

Take from Stock and Put to Stock

Proceed as follows to put or take items:

  1. Scan the item code into the corresponding field. This field is focused by default when you open the Stock page.

  2. The overview of the suggested bins is filled out. This overview helps you to find the best bins for your items. For suggested bins, pixi sows three standard columns:

    • Quantity: the Quantity column displays the quantity of the selected item in the bin.

      • (optional) You can activate two additional columns: Bin group and Bin sort number. To activate these columns, right-click on a column header and select Show/hide columns in the menu.

      • Bin group: This column shows the storage bin group to which the bin belongs, e.g. A, B or C.

      • Sort number: The Bin sort number column shows the sort number of the bin, which determines the order of the bins in the overview.

      • Bin Name: This column contains the names of the bins.

    • Location: The Location column shows the name of the location where the bin is located.

    1. To select a bin from the overview of suggested bin locations, double-click on its line. The bin name is automatically entered in the field. If you have already scanned or entered an item number, the focus switches to the Quantity field, in which you can enter or scan the quantity of the item you want to put in the bin. The focus switches back to the Item number field, where you can scan or enter a different item number. Or enter the bin name in the field.

    2. After a valid bin name has been entered or scanned, the focus switches to the quantity, but if the Item name field is still empty, the focus switches to the item name field.

Tip: If you double-click on a line, the scannable item number (barcode) is entered in the item number field and the focus automatically switches to the "Quantity" field. Sorting and filtering continues after the action or after refreshing the page. Enter the quantity in the "Quantity" field. The system sets the default value based on the Default Quantity setting (Control Center > Database Settings > Stock > Default Quantity). The system also limits the maximum value according to the Maximum quantity for stock movements setting.

  3. Click the Put to Stock or Take from Stock button to confirm the operation. The system updates the stock quantity for the item after entering the BM data and the stock movement type - depending on the item identifiers and settings:

    • If the item has a best before date (BBD) or a batch number (BN), the system displays a new pop-up window. You can enter the BBD/BN data for the item in the pop-up window or select it manually. If you scan a GS1 barcode with BBD or BN information, the system will skip the entry.
Even if only one BBD/BN combination is in stock in the selected bin, the pop-up window for inserting BM data is displayed when the item is removed from Stock.

    • If you want to select a stock movement type when putting away an item, you can do this in the stock movement overview.
If is deactivated in the user interface (application: pixi Bin for Put to Stock or Take from Stock), the Select stock movement type pop-up window is not displayed and the first stock movement type is used.

    • Items that have a tag for batch data or whose batch data is empty can also be taken from stock and then put back into stock with new data.

Tip: If you switch between the Put to Stock and Take from Stock tabs, the system retains the values in the fields.
The item has been put away or removed from storage. The process is complete.

  4. The item(s) has (have) been put into or removed from storage. The process is complete.
