pixi 24.05

pixi 24.05 is available from 14 May 2024. It includes several bug fixes, new features, enhancements and optimizations. Reference the numbers in parentheses if you have any questions for support. You can download the latest full installer after the database update on pixi Web under Administration > Downloads.

Information on pixi Early Access

Databases that were previously registered for Early Access features will lose their label with this update. If you wish to test new functionalities announced under Early Access, you must register with Support again. This includes testing the new Reporting feature in pixi Web. (1018658)


API

🟪 Enhancement: The API call pixiGetItemStockBins now returns two additional values: (995335)

  • BinGroup: Group to which the bin belongs

  • TransportBin: Boolean value that specifies whether the bin is a transport bin or not.


pixi Messaging

🟪 Enhancement: The login for managing pixi Messaging via the Web UI has been disabled for security reasons. If you would like to manage the settings on the web, you must activate Messaging - Enable web management in Control Center.

Note: It is recommended that you deactivate the setting again after you have made your changes. (1007527)


pixi Mobile

Goods Receipt

🟩 Bug fix: When creating goods receipts, the app crashed in some cases. (945094)

Scan-In

🟩 Bug fix: When pixi was updated to 24.03, the field focus was no longer automatically in the field for the box number. The field had to be selected manually in order to enter a box number. In addition, pixi Mobile did not switch to the pick list after assigning the boxes. Instead, it reopened the scan-in program. Both issues were resolved. (1003053)

🟩 Bug fix: When barcodes were scanned with the device camera, they were not recognized in the Scan-In program. (1018664)

Web Application

General

🟩 Bug fix: Users without authorization for Purchase Orders, Offers and Purchasing could not print delivery notes. (992655)
🟩 Bug fix: On the details pages of Orders and Invoices & Credits, the action bar and header were no longer visible when a user would scroll down. (1011343)
🟪 Enhancement: Documents created in Accounting Export and the Reporting in pixi Web, are automatically deleted after one year. (1014136)

Logistics (Goods Receipt)

🟩 Bug fix: The cells of the column Rec. Q. were not fully colored. (1013235)


Logistics (Scan-In)

🟩 Bug fix: In some cases, manual refreshes were required due to recognition issues with scanned EAN codes. With this update, the system now automatically refreshes in the background. (1002127)

🟩 Bug fix: In some cases, invoices were not printed in 1-Scan-Shipping. (1014325)

Logistics (Ship-Out)

🟪 Enhancement: The scanning behavior on the Multiple Packages page was improved. When items are scanned for an invoice, the system automatically redirects the focus back to the item code field until all items are scanned. After the last item has been scanned and added to the package, the focus switches sequentially: from weight (if enabled), to shipping vendor and package type (if enabled). Once the package type is scanned or enabled, the package is created. This update eliminates the need of an extra scan for the package creation. (968316)

Logistics (Stock)

🟩 Bug fix: After an item was put to stock and the stock movement type was changed, both the previously selected and the newly selected type were preselected when a new operation was performed. (1001413)

Reporting (pixi Early Access + BETA)

🟨 New feature: A new functionality is available in pixi Web Controlling: Reporting. It features Profiles and Reports. The functionality and the associated pages are only visible in the menu for users with authorization to use the Reports client. Desktop Applications

Control Center

🟩 Bug fix: The Empty bin functionality did not take the best before date and batch number into account when bins were emptied. With pixi 24.05, items with different best before dates or batches are grouped accordingly. (999311)


Auto Emails

🟩 Bug fix: When the email type "Order confirmation - package information" was used, incorrect invoice files were attached to emails. (1007989)

ShipRush Integration

🟪 Enhancement: Various improvements are available to the pixi ShipRush integration: (1020689, 1014869)

  • Automation rules can now be created for each Shipping Vendor

  • If no rule has been created, pixi will use the default rule

🟪 Enhancement: A new database setting is available: ShipRush Shipping Enabled. It is used to enable the connection to ShipRush. It also replaces the ShipRush API URL setting. (950172)

Notes:
-
Shipping via ShipRush is still possible even if the setting is disabled.
- Currently, only third-party label and document printers are enabled (in Web > Administration > Shipping Station), which are used to print documents for international shipments.
- Default setting = OFF. It must be enabled manually by the pixi Support team
- IMPORTANT! The setting must be enabled for customers shipping via ShipRush version 24.03/04 or higher and making international shipments.

🟪 Enhancement: If a shipping vendor has setting 5 (ShipRush - external carrier service) and the selection of the package type is disabled, there will be an error message. (1005730)

🟪 Enhancement: A new enhancement is available: the Check Connection button in the toolbar. This functionality is now available on both the Shipping Vendor list page and the Shipping Vendor detail page, exclusively for ShipRush carrier integrations. The button facilitates checking the connection to ShipRush. (950163)

Payments

🟪 Enhancement: DDBAC 5.9.87.0 is compatible with >= pixi 23.05. The download links in pixi Web and the documentation were updated. (1020211)
