Installation of pixi desktop applications in silent mode

If you would like to install pixi on multiple computers without using the installation wizard, you can do this by naming the installation file with an additional parameter. In this case, pixi will be installed on the computer - without any query.

All you have to do is execute the following command from the console or run it by script:

Open the console by pressing the key combination Windows key + "R", enter "cmd" and confirm with the ENTER key or search for "cmd" in the Windows search and start the program.

Enter the path to the installation file in the command and add the parameter /S at the end. With this parameter, the installation is carried out in silent mode.

Example

The installer for the current pixi version named "installer_pixi_AVA_Official_Update15.exe" is stored on a network drive in the path "Z:\pixi-Installations" where your company's computers have access. It is now necessary to execute the following command on all computers on which the pixi version is to be installed:

Uninstall

To uninstall pixi, use the uninstall client. If only pixi Components are selected in the dialog window, the folder C:\pixi and its subfolders are no longer removed by default. In addition, pixi local data > pixi folder contains an area that can be used to remove the entire contents of C:\pixi, including the complete folder itself.
