Matching of customer account events is used to match customer credits with related debits. In most cases events are matched automatically (e.g. when a payment is imported to pixi* Payments it is matched to corresponding invoice automatically). You can also match customer account events manually.
Matching of customer account events is needed for effective management of customer accounts because:
Matching information together with account balance gives you all the needed information about specific customer account.
You always know exactly which events are not matched. These events are either still open (e.g. customer didn’t pay an invoice yet) or need manual matching.
Customer service department has better information when communicating with the customer about specific invoices, payments…
Information needed for invoice reminders is completely accurate if proper event matching is performed.
Automatic Matching of Customer Account Events
Matching of customer account events will be done automatically in these cases:
Payment was received for an order which was then processed. When the invoice is created for this order it is automatically matched to the payment.
When payment imported to pixi* is successfully matched to existing invoice by pixi* Payments application.
When bank information about DTAUS/SEPA transactions is successfully matched either to invoices or credits.
Matching Customer Account Events Manually
In some cases automatic matching is not possible and you have to match events manually:
When events are added to customer account manually.
When orders are released from “on hold” manually.
When pixi* Payments application didn’t have the correct information to automatically match bank data with pixi* data.
Follow these steps to match two customer account events:
Select the event that is partially matched or not matched at all.
Click New Match in the toolbar.

in the New Match dialog, select the corresponding event which you want to match with the originally selected event. Note:
Only events which are partially matched or not matched at all are available for matching.
If you are using multi-currency you can only match events which are in the same currency.
Click OK to confirm the match.
Note: If you are using multi-currency in pixi* you can only match events that are in the same currency.
Delete the Match Between Two Customer Account Events
Select the event in the list of customer account events and click Matching Information tab.
Select the matched event and click Delete Match in the toolbar.
Note: If all payment matches are deleted in the pixi* Payments application, then also the payment is removed from the customer account.
