pixi 22.10

pixi 22.10 is available from 4 October 2022. It includes several bug fixes, new features, enhancements and optimizations.


pixi Messaging

🟨 New Feature: A new messaging event was created: pixiExScanInBoxFull. It includes the following parameters (666921, 668971)

  • boxKey

  • boxNumber

  • boxColor

  • locationCode

  • userName

  • customerId

  • orderNumber

  • orderNumberExternal

The event is sent when the last item of an order has been scanned and the box is full. This functionality is useful for the newly introduced setting Automatic invoice creation and printing in pixi Web Shipping Station, which was released with pixi 22.09. When the messaging event is activated, the five minute interval for creating and printing invoices can be bypassed.

🟪 Enhancement: The messaging event pixiExShipOutStarted was enhanced with new parameters. The message is sent before the package type is selected during the Ship-Out. If the shipping vendor is changed during ship-out of a Single Package, the updated shipping vendor is sent within the message. The following parameters were added: (666915)

🟩 Bug fix: An issue was resolved that caused pixi Mobile to crash repeatedly. (619897)

🟩 Bug fix: The cursor focus jumped from Quantity to Bin oder item without any user input. (664045)

🟩 Bug fix: When a box range was defined for a picklist, the cursor focus started in the To field. (687013)

🟪 Enhancement: With pixi 22.09, the setting Automatic invoice creation and printing was released. The creation and printing of invoices was executed in five-minute intervals. With pixi 22.10, the waiting time of up to five minutes for creating and printing invoices can be bypassed by using the pixi Messaging Event pixiExScanInBoxFull. (666921, 668971)

🟪 Enhancement: When Automatic invoice creation and printing is enabled, the integration service for external labels is set up and started for the database. A channel for an external label integration service is created if it does not exist yet (visible in Control Center > Import and Export). (669422)

🟩 Bug fix: Scanning items for 1SS in quick succession, triggered a check for already printed invoices which caused the process to be paused until the user confirmed the invoice printing in a dialogue window. Now, invoices that were scanned 10 seconds ago are excluded from the check for unprinted documents. (667588)

🟩 Bug fix: The weight conversion (e.g. Kg to lbs) was false. (637705)

🟩 Bug fix: When an email address was added in the field E-mail for orders, pixi did not create a new History entry. (668579)

🟪 Enhancement: Missing variables were added to the email template Return Received. (630988)

🟪 Enhancement: When no email address is provided in the database setting Test e-mail address, pixi will not send automatic emails for failed imports and exports to the internally used email address DL-Pixi-critical-imports@descartes.com. (668108)


External Label Printing

🟩 Bug fix: When the external label printing functionality was not actively used and idling for a few hours, it would terminate its service automatically and requests could not be processed anymore. (654554)

🟪 Enhancement: When no URL was provided for the external label printing functionality, pixi prints an empty shipping label. When the URL is provided at a later point, the label is printed automatically. (664217)


Import & Export

🟩 Bug fix: The data export preparation could fail when the setting Item Export - Status or Reorder Level on Location was used. (686632)

🟩 Bug fix: An issue was resolved that would have blocked plentymarkets 7 orders from importing after an update to pixi 22.10. (687506)

🟪 Enhancement: A new channel setting was implemented: ItemExport_ExportOnlyPhysicalStockChanges (available for URL channels). When enabled, only items where the stock was changed are exported to the channel. (460230)


Reservations

🟪 Enhancement: When reservations are activated for a payment type (Control Center > Payment types > Payment Type > Auto Reserve Stock), all existing orders will be reserved after the change is made. The reservation takes approximately one minute. (670361)


Tables (Transport bins)

🟪 Enhancement: The Bins table has a new column: Transport Bin. Here you can define whether a bin is a transport bin or not. The transport bin has to have a unique name to be identifiable. Transport bins are used for the new Replenishment feature in pixi Mobile. (664521)


Duplicate Check App

🟩 Bug fix: Customers with open offers could not be merged via API call pixiMergeCustomers or the Duplicate Check App. Offers are now moved to the newly merged customer entry. (676509)


Invoices

🟩 Bug fix: When invoices were created from an external URL, no local copy was saved. (657472)


Reports

🟩 Bug fix: The report Turnover by Items could not be generated when the supplier name contained special characters. (673030)

🟩 Bug fix: Values with more than 10 characters were not correctly displayed in the report Turnover by Supplier. (656936)
