Deleting an Item


The Delete item function enables you to remove items from pixi.

When is it useful to use this function:

  • Items are duplicated

  • The item is to be imported from the shop again

It should be noted that it is not possible to restore the deleted items and that the item is immediately imported from the shop again if it is still there.

Note: items that are deleted in pixi are not deleted in the shop.


Deleting an Item

  1. Log into the pixi Web application.

  2. Open the list of items and search for the item to be deleted.

  3. Open the item you wish to delete and click Delete in the toolbar.


When can an item NOT be deleted?

An item can only be deleted if none of the following points apply to it:

  • If there is or was a customer order.

  • The item has been reordered from the supplier.

  • The item had a stock movement.

An error message is displayed when trying to delete the item.


How can I re-import items?

If an item can no longer be deleted for the reasons mentioned above, but you would like to import this item again, proceed as follows:

  • If necessary, change the item master data of the item that can no longer be deleted.

    • Remove the supplier of the item.

    • Change the supplier item number of the remaining supplier to a fictitious value.

    • If you want to use the barcode of this item, change this barcode to a fictitious value, because barcodes must be unique in pixi.

  • Note or write down the inventory of the item, including storage locations and location.

  • Now completely take the item from stock.

  • Set the item to inactive so that it no longer appears in the item search.

  • The item name and the shop item number cannot be changed.

You now have to create a new item in your shop so that it is imported to pixi. Then put the inventory of the new item back into storage using the notes created above.
