Handling bulk stock

Bulk stock by the meter (or yard) is an item that is sold according to specific measurements and therefore has to be cut to a certain size (for example, threads, fabrics, ropes). The customer enters via the shop interface how many meters he wants to buy. In the warehouse is then a large piece stored, which must first be cut to the customer's desired dimensions.

If several customers order the same bulk stock item, pixi* merges the orders on the picklist and it's not possible at first to see which cuttings are for which customer. It's only with the Scan-In that the cutting can commence.

Requirements

  • The goods are available and stored exclusively and for the entire range in one single unit, e.g. 'meter'.

  • Customers are only permitted to order quantities without entering individual decimal places, if the respective bulk stock is managed in dm or m.

Approach

At first, a regular picklist is generated in the pixi* Shipping. A special picklist can now be called up using the picklist number. To do so, go to the pixi* Reports app - Customized Reports - Picklists - Picklist.

Attention: If you would like to receive this report, please contact the pixi * Support.

This special picklist separates all items according to individual orders and on request it can be designed as a template for the label printing (DIN A4). With this picklist you can:

  • Cut the goods directly at the storage bin

  • Label the goods directly with EANs
