You can choose supplier priority in the Purchase Order Suggestions wizard. It's important that you understand how pixi*, based on what you choose, selects the most optimal supplier for an item.
Understanding the favourite supplier
An item can have a supplier assigned that is set as a favourite supplier for this item. Favorite suppliers always have priority over other suppliers and pixi* will always order this item from the favorite supplier. In this case, it doesn't matter which value you choose for the Order from supplier with parameter.
How does pixi* suggest from which supplier an item should be ordered?
If you choose e.g. Order from supplier with: Lowest price in the wizard and there is one supplier that has the lowest price, then it's easy for pixi* to suggest the optimal supplier.
It gets more complicated when several suppliers match your criteria. This is how pixi* suggests a supplier in those cases:
You select Order from supplier with: Lowest price:
If several suppliers have the same lowest supplier price, pixi* checks the delivery time and suggests the supplier that delivers the fastest.
If several suppliers have the same lowest supplier price and the same fastest delivery time, pixi* checks the last order date and suggests the supplier where this item was most recently ordered.
If several suppliers have the same lowest supplier price and the same fastest delivery time and the item was never ordered from one of the suppliers - pixi* checks when these suppliers were created and suggests the most recently created supplier.
You select Order from supplier with: Fastest delivery:
If several suppliers have the same fastest delivery time, pixi* checks the supplier price and suggests the supplier with the lowest supplier price.
If several suppliers have the same fastest delivery time and the lowest supplier price, pixi* checks the last order date and suggests the supplier where this item was most recently ordered.
If several suppliers have the same lowest supplier price and the same fastest delivery time and the item was never ordered from one of the suppliers - pixi* checks when these suppliers were created and suggests the most recently created supplier.
Note: Delivery time can be set for the specific item per supplier or on the supplier in general. If the item delivery time is not set, the delivery time for the supplier is taken into account.

If the item was never ordered from one of the suppliers - pixi* checks the supplier price and suggests the supplier with the lowest supplier price.
If the item was never ordered from one of the suppliers and they all have the lowest supplier price, pixi* checks the delivery time and suggests the supplier that delivers the fastest.
If the item was never ordered from one of the suppliers and they all have the lowest supplier price and they all deliver the fastest - pixi* checks when these suppliers were created and suggests the most recently created supplier.
