Purchase order management in pixi enables you to create optimal purchase orders based on stock levels, customer demand and purchasing conditions. It enables you to properly manage and track purchase orders. It also enables you to manage supplier deliveries / goods receipt.

Purchase Order Suggestions

While you can manually check stock information, customer demand and purchasing conditions to create purchase orders, it is advisable to use Purchase Order Suggestions. This way pixi will check stock, demand and purchasing conditions automatically and create purchase order suggestions for you. After suggestions are created, you can still modify purchase orders according to your needs.

Create Purchase Orders manually

You can create two types of purchase orders manually: normal purchase orders and pre-orders. Normal purchase orders are used in the daily buying process, pre-orders are mainly used when you want to schedule bigger purchase orders for the season.

Manage and track purchase orders

After you create a purchase order, either manually or with the help of purchase order suggestions, it will usually go through the following process:

1. As long as a purchase order is on status New (NEW) you can add some more items that you need to buy or remove those which you don't want to order.

2. You change the purchase order status to Ordered (ORD) when you send it to the supplier. As you negotiate with the supplier, you can still add or remove some items.

3. You change the purchase order status to Confirmed (CON) when it is confirmed by the supplier. Now you wait for its delivery.

4. When items are delivered, the purchase order is Closed (CLS).

Purchase Orders and Purchasing Conditions

Purchasing conditions that you negotiated with your suppliers, help you to optimize purchase orders and lower your purchasing costs. If you create new purchase orders with the Purchase Order Suggestions wizard, pixi will automatically apply purchasing conditions to suggested purchase orders. When you create a purchase order manually or modify an existing purchase order, pixi will help you to optimize this order by showing you which purchasing conditions you can reach and how.
