Depending on how much and how often you order at suppliers or how well you were negotiating with suppliers, you get certain purchasing conditions. You can save these purchasing conditions as general conditions per supplier and as specific purchasing conditions per item. This information is used by pixi to automatically create purchase order suggestions and to automatically apply purchasing conditions that were reached (block price discounts, no shipping costs, etc.). When creating purchase order suggestions, pixi first checks and applies the item-specific purchasing conditions, and then the general supplier purchasing conditions that can be applied to the whole purchase order. Additionally, pixi provides information you can use to optimize a purchase order. Based on this information, you can modify purchase orders manually to reach specific purchasing conditions.
Purchasing conditions for a supplier
You can maintain the following purchasing conditions for each supplier:
Minimum order amount: If you order more than the minimum order amount, your supplier doesn't charge the special surcharge for small orders.
Minimum order amount surcharge: you have to pay this surcharge for small orders if you don't reach the Minimum order amount.
Block prices: Supplier gives you an additional discount if you reach the first definite purchase order total. Supplier then gives you an additional discount for each additional purchase order total reached. Note: If there are multiple block prices with the same amount (e.g. 100€) but different discounts (e.g. 10% and 50€) in the same time frame, the latest entered block price is used when applying purchasing conditions for purchase orders.
Freight costs by purchase order: The amount of freight costs that this supplier normally charges with delivering a purchase order.
Free of freight limit: If a purchase order total reaches this limit, you don't have to pay the Freight costs by purchase order.
Bonus: Supplier gives you an additional discount when the sum of order amounts reaches the first definite value. Supplier then gives you an additional discount for each additional value reached. You have to manually check if you already reached one of the entered values.

General purchasing conditions which are independent of suppliers:
Packing units: An item can be bought in a package with several units of this item.
Purchasing conditions for an item which can be negotiated with each supplier separately:
Minimum order quantity: You must order at least the minimum quantity of an item when you order at this supplier.
Item Delivery Time: Supplier delivery time for this item in days.
Only packing units: Packing units must always be applied for this item when purchase order suggestions are created.
Block prices: Supplier gives you an additional discount if you reach the first definite item total or quantity in a purchase order. Supplier then gives you an additional discount for each additional item total or quantity reached. Block prices are only considered in purchase order suggestion, but not if a purchase order was created manually.
Note: If there are multiple block prices with the same amount (e.g. 100€) but different discounts (e.g. 10% and 50€) in the same time frame, the latest entered block price is used when applying purchasing conditions for purchase orders with the purchase order suggestion. Please take care that the purchase order suggestion will overwrite any manual discounts on order lines when block prices can be applied.
Bonus: Supplier gives you an additional discount if the sum of item total from all purchase orders reaches the first definite value. Supplier then gives you an additional discount for each additional value reached.

Initially, when you create an order or when an order is created by purchase order suggestions, supplier and item purchasing conditions are automatically applied. Additionally, you can then set certain purchasing conditions per purchase order which will override the corresponding supplier purchasing conditions:
Discount: If you enter the discount manually, any discount which was calculated according to block prices will be ignored.
