Modify Stock Levels of an Item

By setting the stock level data for items, you can define the values that are used by the supplier order suggestion to calculate optimal required quantities according to your needs.

The following stock parameters can be set per item:

  • Reorder Level: If stock is below this value, the item needs to be ordered at a supplier. Reorder level is used in pixi* to determine how many items need to be ordered.

  • Safety Stock: This value should be the minimum stock quantity of an item, which is used in reserve in case of unpredictable events.
    Note: Currently, the safety stock is not considered by any automation.

  • Target Stock: This stock should be set to a value in order to be able to cover the customer demand during the regular business. In pixi* this is the stock value, which should be reached when a supplier order is being created and which is considered in the supplier order suggestion.

The stock levels are set per location for every item, so that you can maintain the values for every location based on your needs.


Edit Stock Levels of one Item

To edit stock levels for one item on the specific location:

  1. Open the item and click the General tab.

  2. In the Stock Information list, click the row (location) you want to edit.

  3. Enter the values for Reorder Level, Safety Stock and Target Stock and press the ENTER key or Confirm.

  4. Repeat for all locations if needed.

  5. Click Save to save the changes you made to the item.

Note: By default, all stock levels are set to 0.


Edit Stock Levels of Multiple Items

You can change the reorder level, target stock and safety stock for selected items in the list.

  1. In the navigation click Item Management > Items.

  2. Filter the list for the Items you want to edit and select them in the list.
    Please note that only all entries on the same page can be edited simultaneously, i.e., a maximum of 250 Items.

  3. Click on Edit Stock Parameters in the toolbar.

  4. In the dialog window that opens, you can now select the Location for which you want to edit the Stock parameters of the selected Items.

  5. You can

    1. sort the list by any column as needed.

    2. Edit the Reorder Level, Target Stock, and Safety Stock values directly in the table.
      Changes are saved immediately once you press Enter or click into another field.

  6. Click OK to close the dialog.
