Import Tracking IDs
You can specify from which local folder pixi* imports the tracking IDs that were generated by the respective shipping service provider software. Multiple tracking IDs can be imported per invoice. The maximum character limit for tracking ID import via the pixi* Shipping application is 512 characters. Different tracking IDs are automatically separated by a semicolon during import.
Open the settings in the pixi* Shipping application either by clicking on the Settings button or in the navigation menu under File > Settings.
Select the relevant shipping service provider.
Click 'Select Folder' under Import Folder (Track ID).
Note: The file name for DHL and SWP is named as follows:
InvoiceNumber_FileNumber. Example: TES012345_093527130.txt
Using the Tracking ID Import Tool for GLS and DPD
You can use the Tracking ID Import Tool to import the tracking IDs of DPD and GLS. The installer for the Tracking ID Import Tool can be found here.
Fundamental Functionality
This tool imports tracking IDs from a file into the pixi* database using the API call pixiInvoiceSetTrackingID. With one import process up to 50 characters can be imported. This tool also allows multiple tracking IDs to be imported into one invoice. If a tracking ID has already been imported to pixi*, it will be skipped when importing the file again. If the file to be imported contains a new tracking ID, it will be separated by a semicolon and added to the existing tracking ID.
Configuration
Install the Tracking ID Import Tool as an administrator on your shipping computer terminal. When the installation is complete, double-click the Tracking ID Import Tool.
Then click Settings to set the settings for the Tracking ID Import Tool.

Sending of Shipping Confirmation including Tracking ID
As soon as pixi* customer service has received the tracking ID from the shipping service provider, a shipping confirmation is immediately triggered via auto emails. Within this email, the customer receives his personal link to the shipment tracking. The UPS software 'WorldShip' pixi* hands over the tracking ID only a few moments after the ship-out.
From a chosen time, which can be stored in the pixi* Control Center, these shipping confirmations are sent - regardless of whether the shipment itself has already been sent or not.
With the following setting, you can specify that pixi* does not send the emails until the goods have actually been handed over to DHL, i.e. at a certain time after the daily closing.
An overview of the structure of the tracking links for the different shipping service providers can be found below at: Tracking links for the shipping service providers
Settings
Open the pixi* Control Center > Database Settings > Auto E-Mail V2
Change the setting "Auto E-mail Shipping Time for Item Order" on the time after daily closing; for example for 18:00.
For some shipping service providers, the tracking IDs are already available shortly after the Ship-Out. However, it's a good idea to set a delay (waiting time) to send the automatic shipping confirmation because processing and importing the tracking IDs may take some time. The following settings are available: pixi* Control Center > Database Settings > Auto Emails > "Auto Email - Delay for Shipping Confirmation".
Tracking Links for the Shipping Service Providers
In pixi* you can create different templates for the individual shipping service providers and send your customers the tracking data by email. Enclosed you will find a list of tracking links for the various shipping service providers:

Use of the Returns Tracking ID
The returns tracking ID is automatically generated and assigned to each order when an invoice is generated. This allows you to track the return of a customer back to you.
The setting is located in the pixi* Control Center > Tables > Shipping Service Provider
Then a shipping service provider must be selected and this can be edited by double-clicking:
Returns TrackingID Prefix: Here the customer-specific prefix is inserted for each order with the selected shipping service provider.
Returns TrackingID length: Here is the length (number of characters) for the tracking ID defined.
Current Returns TrackingID: The last generated tracking ID is displayed here.
Enabling Returns Tracking ID in Customer Service
This setting is located in the pixi* Control Center > Database Settings > Customer Service folder. Activate the checkbox of the "Returns Tracking ID" setting.
The returns tracking ID is displayed after generating an invoice in the Customer Service - Invoices tab. This is listed under the Returns Tracking ID column.
Double-clicking on the returns tracking ID opens a new window. Here the invoice with the same Returns Tracking ID can be reprinted (Reprint) or a new returns tracking ID can be generated (New).
-
The Returns Tracking ID is one character longer in Customer Service than in the pixi* Control Center because a check digit is automatically added at the end of the ID.
Important:
The return will be printed as the 2nd page of the invoice. This setting is set in Tools > Settings > Printer Setup.
The Tracking ID, according to the settings stored in the pixi* Control Center, has the following length. Example: prefix of 5 characters + 6 dynamic characters + 1 control digit = 12 characters.
