API

🟨 New Feature: A new API call was created: pixiBinCreate. This API call allows you to create one or more bins. (620954)
Input parameters parsed through the @BinsXML:

  • Name - max 50 characters, should be unique

    • By setting Filter Stock Operations With Location in Control Center, you can control the naming conventions for your database

      • Value = OFF - Bin Names are unique in your database
        Value = ON - Identical bin names can exist across different locations

  • LocId - the location (ID) of the bin; the location must already exist

  • Group - the bin group of the bin; can be empty, which is the default

  • SortNr - the sort number of the bin (numeric value)

  • MaxItems - the maximum number of stock items that can be put into the bin

Parameter @CreateEmp defines the user who sends the call (default = "API").

Example request to create two bins (click to unfold)

<soapenv:Envelope>

</soapenv:Envelope>

🟨 New Feature: A new API call was created; pixiBinUpdate. This API call allows you to update bins. The input values are the same as for pixiBinCreate (see above) except for @UpdateEmp (instead of @CreateEmp) and BinKey. This parameter allows you to directly address certain bins within the database. If no values are passed, the old values will remain in the database. When a change via the XML was successful, a list of values with status and message for each row is returned. If the XML cannot be parsed, an error is returned which also includes a status message.

Tip: Use API Call pixiGetStockBins to see an initial list of all bins and BinKeys. (628551)

🟪 Enhancement: We made various enhancements and changes in different areas to prevent deadlocking and inconsistent numbering for invoices and return tracking IDs. In detail: (615165)

  • Shops and Shipping Vendors: The Invoice Nr field was removed from the Shops table, The Return tracking ID (retTrackID) was removed from the Shipping Vendor table.

  • Shops and Invoice Numbers: The Invoice Number is now defined by a starting value (StartValue) and a next value (NextValue) per shop (pixi.Invoice[Shop] in the Sequences table). When a new shop is created, a new record is added to the sequences table. It is only deleted when it is removed.

  • Return Tracking IDs: The return tracking ID (retTrackID) is now defined by a starting value (start_value) and a current value (current_value) for each Shipping Vendor (ReturnTrackingId_[ShipvendorCode] in table sys.sequences). When a new shipping vendor is created, a new record is added to the sys.sequences table. It is only deleted when it is removed.

  • As of now, it is not possible to set the specific start number for invoices (InvoiceNr) or return tracking IDs (retTrackID). The StartValue and NextValue for a new shop are "0" by default and the start_value and current_value for a new shipping vendor are set to "1" by default.

In case you need assistance modifying the values, please contact support (servicedeskt@descartes.com). Changing values via a user interface will be available with a future release.

🟩 Bug fix: Generated CSV polling files were falsely encoded. As a consequence, special characters and Umlaute were not correctly displayed. The default encoding was set to ANSI. It is now also possible to change the encoding manually in the ShipVendor table to either "ANSI" or "UTF8". (635136)

Invoices (QR Codes for Switzerland)

  • Orders must contain a tag for certain languages at order import (only one order tag for QR language can be assigned per order)

  • The new order tags are: QR language: DE, QR language: EN, QR language: FR, QR language: IT
