Manually adding items is needed in some scenarios. Examples:
Items are delivered by the supplier before they have been maintained in the shop or external system and imported into pixi.
Items are sold exclusively offline at the POS and are therefore not listed in the shop or external system.
Only a bundle item can be purchased in the shop, but it physically consists of multiple individual items. These bundle components (individual items) can be created in pixi and added to the bundle item but do not appear in the online shop.
Items that were previously not managed in inventory as virtual items, such as consumables (e.g., cardboard boxes or packing materials).
Items used for customer retention, such as flyers, printed vouchers, or free samples.
Note: Items can only be added by users with roles that have the Create Item (Group: Item Management) assigned.

To manually create an item, proceed as follows:
Open the pixi Web application.
Navigate to Item Management > Items.
Click
(Add a new item) and fill the mandatory fields ( * )
Item Name (*): Enter the short name of the item as it should be shown in the item management or customer orders. This is not the item description. (maximum 120 characters)
Shop Item Number (*): Enter the unique item number from your shop or the external system. It cannot be changed afterwards. (maximum 50 characters)
Category (*): Select the category from the dropdown list.
Supplier (*): Select the supplier from the dropdown list. Additional suppliers can be added after the item was created.
Barcode: Enter the item's EAN. It can be changed in the item management later on. (maximum 13 characters)
VAT (*): Select the item's VAT rate.
Gross Price (€) (*): Enter the item's gross selling price.Click Add to create the item. You can search for it in the item management and add additional information afterwards, if needed.
