pixi Web Customer Service: Merge Customers

In Customer Service > Customers > Merge Customers, you can search for similar customer records and merge them according to your wishes and/or automatically.


Activation for Users

For users, this page needs to be enabled in Control Center. The setting is located in User Management > Roles and Rights > (Role) > Group : General > Merge Customers (Web pixi). For administrators, the page is enabled by default.


Search for Matching Customer Records

In order to display records on this page, the search for these records must be enabled in the settings. To do this, open the settings in the upper right corner of the page (gear icon). Enable the option Automatically run the process for finding new duplicates every night.



Note: Please note that you cannot trigger the search manually.


Merge Customers Manually

If records are found that have a match or are even identical, they will be displayed in the overview. You will find the customer name and the match rate (in %) in the upper part of the page. To merge two customer records proceed as follows:

  1. Select the record from the overview.

  2. If you have not already done so, open the detailed view by clicking the button in the upper menu bar.

  3. In the Duplicates area, select which information you want to transfer to the new data record by activating the desired information by clicking on the circle. The Preview will show the result:

    • First name

    • Last name

    • Street

    • House nr.

    • City

    • ZIP




      In this example, Munich is selected instead of Munich for the new customer record.

    • The following information cannot be selected:

    • Country

    • Customer number

    • DATEV account

    • Number of Invoices

    • Order Status

    • Order no.

    Note: Clicking Ignore will not merge the customer data. In addition, the found data records will not be considered again in the search for duplicate customer data!


  4. In the Preview, you can see which information is currently included in the new data record, including your selection.

  5. When you are done, click Merge.

  6. The customer data has been merged.


Automatically merge customers (settings)

On the Merge Customers page, you have the option to make settings for automated processes. To do this, open the gear wheel on the right side of the top menu bar:

  • Automatically merge customers with 100% match
    Customers with 100% match rate will be automatically merged at night.
