You can create an order for a customer directly from the list of customers in pixi Web. The new order has no order lines. You add items on the order detail page.
Steps
Navigate to Customer Service > Customers.
Select one customer in the list. To find a customer, see Search for Customer.
In the toolbar, open the Create dropdown and select Create Order. The Create New Order dialog opens.
Select the Order Type.
Check the Currency.
Click Create.
Note: Create Order is disabled when no customer or more than one customer is selected.
Order Type and Currency
The dialog has two fields:
Field |
Description |
|---|---|
Order Type |
B2C: Order for an end customer. This is the preselected type. B2B: Order for another company. |
Currency |
Preselected with the base currency of the shop of the customer. You can change the currency only when Multi-currency is enabled. Otherwise the field is disabled. |
VAT Check
Before it creates the order, pixi checks the VAT settings of the shipping country of the customer:
If the shipping country requires VAT but no VAT rate is defined for it in pixi Control Center, pixi shows a message and does not create the order. Add the VAT rate there and create the order again.
If the shipping country has no VAT rate and does not charge VAT, pixi shows a notice about 0 % VAT and creates the order.
The check uses the shipping country of the selected customer, which is also the country of the shipping address of the new order. A customer without a shipping country is not checked.
Next Steps
pixi creates the order with the billing address, the shipping address and the shop of the customer.
Add items to the order as described in Manage Customer Orders in pixi Web. For an overview of the order detail page, see Customer Order Detail Pages.
